Your safety comes first
A BBL is major surgery and, like any operation, carries risks. Whoever you choose, we recommend asking:
- Who will perform my surgery, and what is their experience with BBL?
- Will the fat be placed only under the skin (subcutaneously)? This is the approach recommended by the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
- Where will the operation take place, and is it a licensed hospital?
- What pre-operative tests will I have, and who checks I'm fit to fly home?

How much does a BBL in Turkey cost?
The price depends on your body, how many areas need liposuction and the package you choose. Send us a few photos via WhatsApp or the form and we'll give you a personalised, all-inclusive quote with no hidden extras.
How long do I need to stay in Istanbul?
Most patients stay around 6–7 nights. This covers your pre-operative consultation and tests, the surgery, your first check-ups and your fitness-to-fly review before you return to the UK.
When can I sit down after a BBL?
You'll be asked to avoid sitting directly on your buttocks for around 2–3 weeks and to use a BBL cushion when you do sit — including on the flight home. Your surgeon will give you personal instructions.
When will I see my final result?
You'll see a change straight away, but swelling takes time to settle. Some of the transferred fat is naturally reabsorbed in the first months, and your final shape is usually visible at around 3–6 months.
Will the result last?
Fat cells that establish a blood supply in their new area are long-lasting. Keeping a stable weight is the best way to maintain your shape — significant weight changes can affect the result.
What if I don't have much fat?
A BBL relies on your own fat. If you are very slim, we'll tell you honestly during your consultation and may suggest alternatives such as buttock implants.
Is a BBL safe?
Like all surgery, a BBL carries risks. Choosing an experienced surgeon and a licensed hospital, having a full pre-operative assessment and following your aftercare plan all help reduce them. We'll explain the risks openly during your consultation.
Is there a BMI limit for a BBL?
Safety comes first, so we assess every patient individually. Many surgeons prefer a BMI of around 30 or below for a BBL. Send us your height, weight and photos and we'll tell you honestly what's possible.
How painful is recovery?
Most patients describe soreness and tightness rather than sharp pain, mainly in the liposuction areas. You'll be given pain relief, and discomfort usually eases significantly after the first week.
Is it safe to fly home after a BBL?
You'll only fly once your surgeon has checked you and confirmed you're fit to travel. Wear compression socks, use your BBL cushion, drink water and walk the aisle regularly to support circulation.
Can I combine a BBL with other procedures?
Yes — a BBL is often combined with a tummy tuck or breast surgery. Whether it's right to combine depends on your health and the total operating time, which we'll discuss with you in your consultation.
When can I go back to work and the gym?
Most people with desk jobs return after around 2 weeks. Light walking starts straight away; gym workouts usually resume from around 6 weeks, with lower-body training reintroduced gradually.
Can I bring a friend or family member?
Of course. Many patients travel with a companion — just let us know so we can plan the hotel room and transfers for two.
What aftercare do I get once I'm back in the UK?
